Coronavirus Update

Dear Parents/ Carers,

You will no doubt have heard that all schools will be closed from Monday 23rd March. It is with a heavy heart that we are having to do this, but it is vital that we endeavour to keep children, families and staff as healthy as possible during these unprecedented times. Following Government advice, we will still be partially open in order to support our most vulnerable children and families. This will include those parents, carers who are front line staff. We will be following advice as to which families this will include, the parents of these children will be contacted on an individual basis.

We already have staff having to self- isolate, including myself due to the fact that my partner is due to have open heart surgery. However, there will be a skeleton staff working on a rota system, allowing us to remain partially open. The staff not working directly with children continue to work from home. Although I am not currently in the building, I am keeping in very close contact with the Nursery and if you need to speak with me directly, please call the nursery and I will contact you.

Please keep in touch with us by regularly checking our website and following our Facebook page, this is where information will be updated. This will include how you can access food parcels from the nursery and ideas of things that you can do at home with your children. If family support is required we can support you to access this via telephone contact.

Thank you for your support and understanding with this VERY difficult situation. Redcliffe Nursery School prides itself on always prioritising the wellbeing of children, families and staff. The needs of the most vulnerable in our community continues to remain our top priority.

Although this situation may cause some initial panic, I hope it will also bring some clarity to our commitment to safeguarding everyone. We all need to think COMMUNITY and be mindful of others.

Please stay safe, stay connected, and stay healthy.

My very best wishes to you all.
