Educational Psychologist 

We have a link Educational Psychologist called Emma Balfour. She can provide us with professional development around supporting children's social, emotional and children's mental health needs. We can also refer for her input to support individual children and work with families. 

Trauma Informed Practice Specialist 

Kerry is our Trauma Informed Practice Specialist. She completed her diploma in Trauma and Mental Health informed schools and communities in 2020/2021. 

She works with children on an individual basis (with consent from their family) firstly building a secure attachment and supporting the key person. She may then apply these strategies

• Attachment Play
• Sand Tray Play 
• Small World Play 
• Empathy Drawings
• Emotion/Empathy Cards
• 1:1 interventions 

If she feels more longer term input would be helpful, she works with key people and the child's family to make a relationship support plan.
