Disability Access Fund (DAF)

As a nursery we are able to access The Disability Access Fund (DAF) for children aged 3 to 4 with disabilities or special educational needs who get Disability Living Allowance and go to an early years childcare provider for universal free entitlement. The fund helps us to make reasonable adjustments within nursery to further support a child/children with disabilities or special needs. It helps us to help children to make the most of the opportunity which early education offers them. We can use the fund to buy additional resources for individual children or to pay for staff to attend relevant training courses. We cannot use the money to fund additional nursery hours.
